Product decision game 02
Sprint Rush - a RICE prioritisation game against the clock
Sprint Rush is a free browser game about backlog prioritisation. You get 60 seconds, a limited effort capacity, and a stream of ideas that all sound important. Every card shows its reach, impact, confidence and effort - you decide in three seconds whether to build it or drop it.
01
How the game works
Cards arrive one at a time with a short decision timer. Build it and the effort comes out of your sprint capacity. Drop it and you keep capacity for something better - but you lose whatever value it would have delivered. Let the timer run out and the decision is made for you.
02
Reading a RICE score fast
Reach is how many users it touches, Impact is how much it moves them, Confidence is how sure you are, and Effort is what it costs to build. Value per unit of effort is what you are really hunting - a small quick win often beats a glamorous big bet.
03
What it actually tests
Prioritisation instinct, capacity planning and the willingness to say no. Overload the sprint and you fail the shift, exactly like committing a team to more than it can deliver.
04
How you are ranked
Your rank comes from the value you shipped against the effort you spent. The deck is drawn from a deep pool of quick wins, big bets, traps and dependencies, shuffled each run. Best scores stay only in your own browser.
